This summer was not only about preparing our sale horses but also about celebrating a significant achievement for Marybeth and her horse, Renda Gunna Shine, affectionately known as Maluma. Owned by Warnimont Performance Horses, we had the amazing opportunity to lease Maluma for the year, and his performance in Las Vegas was a major highlight of the season.
A Summer of Preparation
Marybeth and Maluma, with the invaluable support of Roger Smith, dedicated their summer to preparing for the prestigious Run for a Million event. The summer was filled with rigorous training sessions aimed at refining their skills and ensuring they were in peak form for the competition.
Preparing for such a high-stakes event required a great deal of dedication and hard work. Marybeth and Maluma worked tirelessly to perfect their maneuvers and build the confidence needed for Las Vegas. Their commitment was evident in every ride.
A Stellar Performance in Las Vegas
The much-anticipated Run for a Million finally arrived, and Marybeth competed at draw 45. Her performance was nothing short of exceptional. Marybeth and Maluma earned a score of 217.5, which tied for 6th place in the Rookie Level 2 Championship. This impressive result was a testament to the hard work and dedication of both Marybeth and Maluma throughout the summer.The competition in Las Vegas was a major milestone for Marybeth and a highlight of the summer.
Their success at the championship showcased the results of their extensive preparation and hard work. The experience was a proud moment for the entire Diamond K Horses team, and it reinforced the value of hard work and perseverance in achieving competitive success.
Looking Ahead
With the summer’s achievements behind us, we are now shifting our focus to the busy fall season. Our attention turns to the upcoming sales, including The Best of Texas sale and the Best of the West sale, where we will present several well-prepared horses. Additionally, we are gearing up for the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, another key event on our calendar.
