Valentino
Looking for a horse to brighten your day when you walk into the barn? You have met the one. He’s the kind of horse that will knicker every time he sees you walk by his stall and has the coolest look and personality around. Plus, he is a proven show horse as well as a proven friend for life. This guy is the entire package and will always be your friend and make your day better. His stunning looks, beautiful movement, and easy-to-ride disposition make him a standout anywhere he goes.
Meet Valentino, as we call him, a 2019 double-registered AQHA and APHA gelding standing a unique size of 15.2 hands tall and weighing 1,200 lbs. His registered name fits this guy as good as you could ever imagine. It is PURRFEXION, and we think it describes him perfectly!
He is an own son of Spooks Gotta Whiz and out of a mare who is by High Brow Cat!! What a great cross of pedigree! Not only is this guy a handsome, friendly, and safe-for-all-levels-of-riders type of horse, he is also proven in the show pen and has won $25,000 in NRHA earnings!
We think Valentino is the perfect description of our program and what we look for. He is 100% safe for all levels of riders. No matter if you’re wanting to show competitively on the big stages, go to the weekend horse shows, or are just getting into showing, this horse is the perfect one.
We love using this one for green riders who have not experienced riding a Cadillac type of horse because he is so much fun and so easy to ride. Valentino is extremely comfortable and very smooth in all gaits.
He’s one of the horses we use in our lesson program here at the barn, and he fits every level of rider. No matter if it’s an experienced rider, a green rider, or a kid rider, Valentino takes care of everyone. He’s also very good outside on the trails, and we’ve enjoyed using him on the ranch with all the daily ranch chores that come with it, from gathering cattle to sorting, roping, and everything in between.
One of our favorite things about this guy is how consistent he is and how he’s the same horse no matter what. No matter if he’s had time off, no matter if he has a green rider, no matter if he has a saddle or if you’re bareback, no matter if you’re in the arena or outside, he’s the same each and every day.
This horse will build anyone’s confidence and make you enjoy owning him. Our highlight/most favorite thing about Valentino is how consistent he is and how safe he is for every level of rider. He’s going to make your confidence go up if you’re a green rider and make your job so easy if you’re a high-level rider.
Valentino is great in new environments and never gets worried no matter the situation. He is 100% sound with no vices or bad habits. He is up to date on everything, including X-rays and a PPE.
Valentino is the entire package, and we have not even mentioned how beautiful he is! This guy will get you noticed wherever you go and whatever you do. His personality and his stunning looks make him a standout in any crowd. No matter if you’re wanting to trail ride or show competitively in ranch riding or reining, he’s done it all.
Broke, safe, and consistent—and stays that way each and every day—describes Valentino the best. We are excited and proud to offer him at the 2026 SoCal Premier Horse Sale in Santa Barbara, California.
