Dutton

Big, fancy, broke, consistent, safe, and smooth—meet our rockstar we call Dutton!

Dutton is a 2020 registered AQHA and APHA red dun gelding, standing 15.1 hands tall and weighing 1,250 lbs.! Plus, he’s an own son of one of our favorite sires, SG Frozen Enterprise!

Dutton is one of our Diamond K highlight horses. His versatility and solid mind set him apart. He is a proven reiner and has won a little over $7,500 in the reining. Plus, he’s also been shown in the ranch riding, he’s done lots of daily ranch work, he’s been team roped off of, and he’s had lots of trail riding, so Dutton is the entire package that we are proud to offer!

We are lucky enough to have a lot of really great horses, and this one here fits right in at the top of our favorite list.

Everyone loves this guy! Dutton is a gentleman in the barn and is 100% safe with kids around him, as well as riding him. When the little kids show up at the barn, Dutton is one they all wanna go ride, and we all feel confident that Dutton will keep them safe in the arena or outside on the trails.

We can’t say enough good things about him. He is super easy to ride with a very comfortable trot and lope, plus has excellent maneuvers like his spins, stops, and lead changes. He is extremely fun to ride outside doing ranch chores and is always willing to go anywhere you point him, no matter if it’s through a river or up and down a steep hill.

Dutton is also very fun to rope off of and enjoys it too. Whether you’re team roping or pasture roping, he handles all the chaos with no trouble.

Dutton is also very enjoyable to go trail ride. He’s great in the front or in the back of a large group. He’s confident and content wherever you put him in the group. He is excellent in new places or environments and doesn’t get worried no matter the situation you put him in.

Have we talked about how stunning he is?! No matter if you go show, trail ride, or ranch with Dutton, you’re gonna get noticed. His kind eye and big, stout conformation make him stand out anywhere!

Dutton has been one of Kevin’s main clinic horses, as well as a lesson horse here at the barn, because he is so easy for everyone to ride, as well as super talented and able to put on a great show during a demo.

Let’s talk pedigree! Dutton is a son of SG Frozen Enterprise and out of Gunna Ruf You Up, who goes back to Spooks Gotta Gun.

We love this horse and are proud to be offering him at the 2026 SoCal Premier Horse Sale in Santa Barbara, California!

One of our favorite things about Dutton is how versatile and consistent he is. He’s the same horse each and every day, no matter what the job he has that day is, and he’s safe for a high-level rider, a green rider, or a kid. Dutton is great to shoe, clip, bathe, load, haul, tie, etc., and is UTD on everything, including current X-rays and a PPE available for Dutton prior to the sale.

We invite you to come see him at our ranch before the sale or see him at the sale. He’s special, and we know you will love him!
