Kevin and his wife were so nice and hospitable. I felt like I was coming home.. After driving 10 hours and being able to come and ride for 3 hours at their facility, it was truly a great venue I was able to ride numerous horses and finally settle in on one of the prettiest sorrels. I've seen he was a spooks got a gun sire. I teased Kevin that it was as good as riding in a Maserati. I look forward to buying another horse from Kevin and his wife soon. I'm excited about the new chapter with this horse and being able to show him on the East Coast

I first contacted Kevin about a few horses he had going to auction in late 2021. He asked me what I was looking for and directed me to a few geldings he believed would work well for me. He also lead me away from one of his horses that he didn’t think would be a great fit, which I appreciated. I had dozens of questions for Kevin when I finally found my favorite, Tinsel. I bought Rusty through Premier Online Sales. In speaking with Kevin and discussing what I do and was looking for this gelding sounded like an exact fit. We went to this sale skeptical of the unknowns you can find out about a horse after you have gotten home with him. My husband is a performance equine veterinarian. So obviously we scrutinized every horse at the sale. We met up with Kevin & Mary Beth with Diamond K and liked 2 of his horses. Kevin went out of his way to discuss, reveal anything, work with us on this horse. He went above and beyond. I also wanted to determine what price range I needed to shoot for as well as to meet the trainers to discuss their horses. Kevin was very gracious with his time and I was very impressed with his horses. He told me to follow on Facebook as all the sale horses that came available were listed there and to contact him when I knew I was ready to start the process of looking for my horse. Many months passed as did many sales. I knew the time was right to contact Kevin and start the process. Based on what I wanted he advised me to look at 5 he had at the Best of Texas sale in 2021. He told me they were all horses that they had raised since weanlings and had been in their program the whole time. He also told me he had 2 finished show horses available to try as well. I made arrangements to visit their facility. Kevin and his wife Marybeth were amazing and welcoming. They listened to what I was saying in regards to what I planned on doing with the horse. They saddled every horse that was currently available to try and explained the pros and cons of each one. My decision was hard because they had 3 I really loved, but ultimately it came down to one. Luckily I was able to come away with him at the sale, only because Kevin made me a gracious offer in hauling him for me. This allowed me to have just that extra amount of cash I needed to win the bid. I wouldn’t have gotten him otherwise. Diamond K continues to help me with Chrome even 1 1/2 years later. Whether it is to send me the bit I need, to give me advice when I text to ask “what cue did you use for this”, or just to check in to see how it’s going. Kevin and Marybeth are amazing. They let us come ride all of their horses and paid attention to exactly what we were looking for and even better attention to our skill level. They were very honest when representing their horses, even steering us away from some that we liked but they knew would not suit us well. They were patient with our requests and found us the PERFECT horse, “The Ride of our Life” we love Chubbs and the Diamond K family. Chubbs has found his FOREVER home and Diamond K always have a place to stay in CA!

Purchasing Jack from Diamond K was the best decision. The horse is amazing and Kevin has been there for all of my questions.
